rockala
I am looking for a book list with this time period. I thought there was an ambleside one but I cannot find it. I am looking for good middle school books on the following. I would like ones without too much reading difficulty as our co-op will have ages 10 1/2 to 15. Michelangelo, Martin Luther, Da VInci, Gutenberg and Joan of Arc as well as others along that time period. I find quite a few by Diane Stanley but am unsure if that will be too young and we nedsomething a little more but that is not too much. Am I fussy?? So far we The Magna Charta, Proud Taste of Scarlet and Minerva and the Black Arrow down. Thanks, Kathy
usetoschool
The Second Mrs. Giaconda (DaVinci) Adam of the Road The Door in the Wall Otto of the Silver Hand The Hawk That Dare Not Hunt by Day (Tyndale) The Scottish Chiefs In Freedom's Cause The Apple and the Arrow (William Tell) The Trumpeter of Krakow Find Print (Gutenberg) Martin Luther (by May McNeer and Lynd Ward) Joan of Arc (by Mark Twain) I have never been able to come up with a book I like about Michaelangelo. The Diane Stanley one is all I have ever seen so I will be watching this thread to see what others read and liked.

TheCoffeeChick
Here are three websites with lists: Book Shelf Central - Goes with TOG, but has a nice list. This one - You can limit your search in this one very specifically. A Book in Time - Once you click on the topic you are searching for, it will list appropriate ages by the description of the book.
