We just had a major vomit incident this week on carpet, and I was able to wipe it up, then cover the area with baking soda which absorbed the rest and made it vacuum-able. Would that work? Could you brush baking soda into the crevices and then vacuum it out when dry? I had to use a scrub brush on the dry stuff, and that might also work for you.
