New Online Classes at Trinity International University - October

Recommended Posts

Here's an email I received from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.

Trinity is reaching out to the homeschooling community in a variety of ways; their Director of Admissions (and his wife) were both homeschooled. This email was sent by the executive assistant to one of the VP's - she's a former homeschooling mom.

Hello Homeschooling Families!

Do you need to "round out" your curriculum for your high schooler this fall? Do you need to challenge your student a bit more as a junior or senior? Are you still looking for a good Bible or Spanish curriculum? Look no further! Trinity has additional fall '17 options for dual enrollment and dual credit! See below for details.

We are offering as online dual enrollment:

BI 101 Understanding the Old Testament - 3 credit hours - A survey of the setting, history and literature of the Old Testament. Emphasis is given to major Old Testament themes, including covenant, salvation, worship, wisdom, justice and righteousness, and messianic hope.

BI 111 Understanding the New Testament - 3 credit hours - A survey of the setting, history, and literature of the New Testament. Emphasis is given to major New Testament themes, including the person and work of Jesus Christ, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the theology of Paul, and the Christian in society.

These courses begin October 2nd, 2017. We have only five spots in each class, so it is first come, first serve, one class per student.

We are offering as on-campus dual credit:

SP 121 Introductory Spanish - 4 credit hours - Pronunciation, conversation, reading, and grammar. Laboratory activities. Collateral reading with reports during the second semester. As far as possible, the course is conducted in Spanish.

This course will be twelve weeks long beginning September 26th, 2017, and meets from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We need 8-10 students to run this course.

Please register for both types of courses online at tiu.edu/dualcredit. Please select either "online dual enrollment" or "homeschoool dual credit" The registration deadline is September 18th.

Please feel free to contact me at jflanagan@tiu.edu or 847-317-7055 with any questions. We look forward to partnering with you!

Blessings,

Jennifer
