homeschoolally
Love CLE, credit the reading program with my oldest doing so well on ACT reading, but Youngest needs something with more engaging/current stories. Thanks for any recommendations!

kathkath
My kids really enjoyed Pearson's reading Street. All you need is the student textbooks (2 per grade) and the readers & writers notebook. Covers a TON. We also did some writing from their reading and writing to sources books. All pretty cheap.
Guest
Do you mean the learn to read program, or the "Happy Hearts" and co. + their respective light units? If it's the latter, I'd say Memoia Press lit guides, or Moving Beyond the Page or Blackbird and co.
homeschoolally
The ones above Learn to Read, with the reader and light units. My oldest used them the way up to middle school I think. Youngest just in 3rd grade and doesn't see the old fashioned charm in such a positive light :)
