Kjirstyn
Could I get some favorite recommendations on Revolutionary War era books? I'm looking for Charlotte Mason-ish "living" books, whether they be novels or just really gripping non-fiction. For highschool level or above. I'm not sure where to start digging for these, because the "flavor" of most historical books written currently end up feeling more like a critique that tries to prove the author is original, as opposed to just being an interesting book about the topic or person at hand. Maybe I'm wrong in that. :-) Thanks for any suggestions!

Kjirstyn
High school or above...it's for me. 😊 I don't mind a little lower level if it's good writing, but definitely not young readers. 😠
rutamattatt
I loved reading 1776. It isn't a living book per se, but it help my interest well and was super informative.
