idnib
Can someone who has a copy of BA 4A help me out? On p 117 of the practice book there's an answer for problem 93. It shows some shapes that are rhombuses (inc a picture of a square) and defines them. On p 118, the answer continues and where the correct labels have been circled, "square" is not one of the correct answers to the problem. Am I missing something? Guest
Page 29 of the guide. I'm assuming that square wouldn't be circled because it's a trapezoid.
idnib
So you're saying square isn't circled because it's a subset of trapezoid and that covers it?

Every square is a rhombus, but not every rhombus is a square. That's why the picture is included as an example of a rhombus. But you can't complete the statement: "Every rhombus is a..." with "square," so it's not circled as an answer. There's a nice diagram that explains this on page 31 of the Guide for 3A, if you have it.
idnib
Now I feel like an idiot. I didn't read the actual question "Every rhombus is a ______" and just assumed DS was to circle all things that could be called a rhombus. :blushing:
