g1234
I am trying to figure out how different the literature selections are in the AP version vs. the non- AP (college) version. Does anyone know, or can anyone point me to at least a partial TOC? If anyone has the AP version, might we compare even the first five or ten items to get an idea? I can't find a TOC anywhere. I have the non-AP version, and am trying to decide whether to get the AP one. Many thanks for any light anyone can shed on this conundrum! forty-two
Here's a link to the AP edition of the poetry book (Perrine's Sound and Sense), and as far as I can tell (with a very quick comparison of the contents), the main/only difference is the inclusion of AP writing prompts: http://swcta.net/orapello/files/2013/03/Poetry-Text-1.pdf. I would expect that holds true to the literature book as well (it's not all that easy to find the toc for the ap edition online - the publisher's site has the toc online for the regular editions, but not the ap editions).
g1234
That's great, forty-two! Thank you. I hadn'tthought to look for one of his smaller books. I agree--the TOC of this poetry book looks very similar to the Poetry section of the full book that I have. This is very helpful. We don't want to use it for AP prep. I was just wondering whether perhaps the AP version would have a little lower percentage of really heavy short stories. I'm guessing, from the looks of the poetry book, that the answer is no. That means you just saved me lots of money! :)
