merylvdm Posted June 1, 2014 Share Posted June 1, 2014 I discovered brilliant.org a while ago and my 14 year old daughter who loves pinterest and youtube and tumblr and instagram - but who also loves math and physics - absolutely loved it. And she described it as "social media for geeks". You take sort of placement tests in various STEM-related topics and then you get problems posted to solve. You can vote the problems up and down (and I think there are other social aspects too). Anyway - it kept her geek side challenged, and also satisfied the "normal" teen side of her and I thought others may have kids who will like it too.
