scrapbabe
All of the computers in my house are being occupied right now. When I can get to one I'll look at my download and see what it contains. :)
scrapbabe
First it takes you through a little music history. It takes you through the Baroque period, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, and Twentieth Century, It shares a little bit of what kind of music was composed during that time and then touches on a couple of composers all the while using musical terms that are linked to the glossary in the back of the book so you can define anything you aren't familiar with. You read about the composers and then listen to several of their pieces through links on youtube. Then there is a basic overview of music theory where there are several activities to do together, ie. Memory Game, Flashcards, Musical Bingo, Drinking Glass Orchestra, Then she covers some American folk and traditional songs that everyone should know. Things like Found a Peanut, Bicycle Built for Two, Eensie Weensie Spider, and lots more. These songs are divided into topics. Friendship/Love, Patriotic, Songs about Animals (to name a few). This kind of reminds me of the What Your _th Grader Needs to Know. There are many, many songs that every child should be familiar with. Anyway, that's a basic run down of what is in the download. Hope that helps.
