What version of PLL should I get?

I thought this would be an easy choice, but apparently not. I see there are several different versions of this. There's the original hardback version, a Hillside Press version, a Living Books version, and maybe more. Some are workbooks, some are color. I like the looks of the Living Books workbook version, but it doesn't seem like they leave enough space for the child to write their answers, and the lines are close together. I don't think my son will be able to write that small by next year. But I do like the idea of a workbook. And of course, color would be nice. What do you think? Which one would suit my preferences?
