The other day I was at Barnes & Noble and picked up (along with what I was there for) a Barnes & Noble Classics paperback of Selected Stories of O. Henry.  This evening I was getting around to looking for one of my favorite stories, The Ransom of Red Chief, and turned to the Table of Contents page:

The back of the book said it had 45 of his stories.  45 stories in 403 pages, and they didn't enumerate them in the Table of Contents?!?!    AAARRGGHH!!!!!!  :cursing:

 

 

 

 

 

Leafing through it further on my way to my computer to type this I find a second listing, on pages 3-6:
