G5052 Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 The community college I work for has been working on the January schedule, and will begin registering May graduates in two weeks and everyone else after that. So plan ahead if you have a dual enrollment kid, registration time is coming. There was also an email out several weeks ago to expect fewer sections and much fuller classes. Over the weekend I peeked at the draft advising schedule, and noticed that they've cut the classes in my department by 1/4. As of this morning, I am the only 16-week evening adjunct in my department (which is a STEM field BTW, so much for that). G5052 Posted September 30, 2013 Author Share Posted September 30, 2013 Yes, enrollment is actually OK, but the funding is a step down. So fewer sections with no chance of putting more on the schedule once it is published unless it is an error. They are expecting that 90% of the sections will be closed by December 1st.
