A home for their hearts
I have Book 1 and will be buying Book 2 soon. I like the lay out of it and how it emphasizes mathematical understanding and not just rote learning. However I'm a little nervous to use this as our main curriculum. I'm thinking of combining it with Math Mammoth blue series which we already have. That may take more planning than I have time for. Anyway I just wanted to get other peoples opinions. Thanks! SorrelZG
Bumping for you. It is my core reference for my PreK-er at the moment because he is self motivated and initiates conversations about math but he isn't much inclined towards a workbook at this point. My daughter loves worksheets so she, of her own will, has two or three worksheet based programs she's working through my firstborn because does better when he is primarily independent so with them I only use it as a supplemental reference. I personally need "open and go" in the present season of my life, anyway. With my 4yo, nothing regular is needed - I just have to peek in it now and then to get ideas and direction so it's not a big deal. I hope there is someone here who has used it more heavily and be more helpful.
