Any ideas for Easter?

Recommended Posts

I want to do some crafts or short unit study for Easter (Christian, about the death and resurrection of Jesus.) Anybody have any ideas to share? What traditions you do? I have 4 kids 7 and under. I lack the creativity, or the ability, to come up with something before the day is already on top of me or gone :) TIA!

We make these Resurrection Buns every year. Instructions are in the captions of each picture. http://clarks.smugmu...566&k=PhqXd6M

This year we're going to make this craft and plant wheat grass on top. http://www.michellepaigeblog.com/2012/03/easter-garden-and-grass-growing.html I, too, saw the image on Pinterest with no real source. I've seen it reused on several people's blogs, like this one.

(Edited to give a better link to resurrection buns. )

I have seen the materials for Resurrection Eggs. There's a book that goes with it called Benjamin's Box, and then a how-to pamphlet. I browsed through it in the Sunday School materials at my church, but it's too complicated to do in a single Sunday School class. Great for at home, though! It has the kids collect little "tokens" relating to the Easter story, so for very littles who still want to taste everything you may want to modify it.

Thanks! I love the idea of the little indoor garden :) We are in Wisconsin and covered with snow, so grass would be such a refeshing sight! I like the resurrections eggs, too. I have heard about it before but never tried it. I like that both will last over a couple weeks. Thanks again!
