3in9th Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Hey! Needing a bit of help with finding some "advanced" historical novels for my kids. We are using the History Odyssey curriculum and are currently on Level 2 Early Modern. Issue is that my kids are reading at a higher level than the books suggested in the curriculum. I've brainstormed a bit and plan on using Tracy Chevalier's The Girl with the Pearl Earring for the 1600s, but would appreciate any other suggestions for novels set in other countries at this time and/or going forward to the end of the curriculum- early 1800s.
