Novafan
I'm so confused with picking out our 7th grade math.
Mallory
I haven't ever seen NEM, but I have heard that DM is much closer in layout to the PM series. It does loook more grown up, but they are similar- cartoony teens, same . I have also heard that it has better teacher help. But when I heard that NEM was not going to be printed any more, then I just took that as an easy reason to use DM. ;)
Crimson Wife
NEM is being phased out in lieu of DM. So unless you can get a really good deal on used books, I would go with DM. If you get the DM workbook, there are sufficient challenging problems IMHO.
SunnyDays
If we aren't using Singapore for elementary (we're using MM), is DM even worth looking at? Or do you really need to have the full background of Singapore methods to consider it? Just wondering if I should even add it to the list of contenders for post-MM math, or if I should rule it out. :)
Crimson Wife
I haven't seen MM "light blue" but I have a bunch of the "blue" worktexts. I think the approach is similar enough that it would be possible to do DM 7A/B after finishing MM 6.
