Everyday wear: knit shirts vs. woven shirts

Recommended Posts

Does anyone wear woven shirts on a regular, everyday basis? I wear t-shirts all the time, but after about 2 months they are stretched out, have holes in them, generally just don't look good. My mom was here last weekend and she was wearing a woven shirt that looked crisp and clean and she's had it for 6 years! It is nicely made (from Talbots) and doesn't need to be ironed...that's what normally keeps me away from woven shirts (the ironing).

Is this everyone's experience? Do you wear woven shirts on a regular basis instead of t-shirts? I don't care about buying new clothes every season to follow trends, I just want my clothes to last. What's your experience?

Also, I just realized I feel much more comfy in knit shirts because I can move more freely. I wonder if there's a good solution...
