miracleone
My dd will be 5 in December. She's very verbal and likes to write. She also enjoys crafts. Is there a curriculum out there that will have craft supplies ready with easy to follow lesson plans, cursive instructions for the young beginner, living books? We read A LOT and she has an extensive vocabulary. She is always asking to do crafts and if I am not well-prepared in advanced, my mind goes blank at the spur of the moment. I need something that is ready, open and go. Thank you very much.
Priscila
Have you heard of The Mailbox? I think you might be interested in their Day-by-Day Kindergarten Plans. I have the Preschool version, and it is replete with crafts, suggested books, songs to sing, and it's organized to coincide with the different holidays and seasons of the year. I don't use it as a main curriculum, but it's meant to be that. I reference it once in a while and it sounds like just what you might be looking for. I hope this helped! duckens
There is Carol's Affordable Curriculum that provides crafts and discusses alphabet and basic letters. It really is more of a preschool curriculum, but you could use it to supplement something more Kindergarteny. http://www.carolscurriculum.com/ -------------------------------------------- Letter of the Week would be a nice basis to dovetail with Carol's Curriculum. You would probably have to find some coloring sheets to print off. http://letteroftheweek.com/ ----------------------------------- Computer time: http://www.starfall.com/ --------------------------------------- This seems similar to Carol's affordable curriculum, but is specifically geared for preschoolers. They were at our homeschooling convention this year. http://www.shirleysprepackagedcrafts.com/
