Danestress
We have primary and secondary medical insurance (BCBS and then Tricare standard as military retired benefit). We have no unusual medical problems, nothing really noteworthy, and I don't think anyone in our household has had a hospital stay in a long time. We have no outstanding medical bills. But I am buried - absolutely totally buried - in medical related paperwork. I have a massive, unorganized, unsorted stack of prescription drug statements from our insurances, benefits statements, etc. Can I just shred that? Is there anything medical paperwork wise that I can't just shred? The real records are with the doctors, and there are no insurance claims really in dispute. If I needed anything in the future, couldn't I just get copies from the medical clinic or the insurance company? I don't anticipate anything. Please. Let me shred. I am so overwhelmed. LaxMom
I'd shred it. My EOBs are pretty generic ("office visit", etc) so I'd be fairly content to just recycle it but there's something that says (in my mind) such things should be shredded first. My vote: shred, baby, shred.
