farming_mum
My DS has finished Singapore Maths 1B and we're just finishing the IP and the Challenge Problem book. When do we learn how to model draw as I'm finding that I need to refer to some type of drawing to explain the math problems. I'm not sure how to do it and I'm just trying to represent it in a way that is easy enough for him to understand. Can someone please tell me where I can find a resource to teach me how to model draw so that I can teach him? Or is there a time in the future, using SM, where he will learn to do this himself? Thanks in advance :001_smile:
boscopup
CWP 2 shows you how. I haven't seen level 1. It's usually in the example problems before a new section. Does level 1 not have example problems? IP doesn't give any examples, but the techniques required should be similar to what's in CWP. MomatHWTK
I found some resources here: http://singaporemathsource.com/resources/singapore-math-web-sites/ The Singapore Maths Teacher site offers instructional videos. We've just gotten started so I don't know if it will provide the details you need. We did lesson 1 and it was great to see the light bulb go off above DD's head. ;)
Dana
I used the iExcel books which are now out of print... but it looks like they're being replaced by something similar. The table of contents looks the same but in a different order and they're by the same publisher. May be worth checking out. Supplemental math at Singapore's site.
