creekland
Most of us with potential future Pre-meds have known the MCAT is changing in 2015. AAMC has now officially approved the change. Personally, I think it sounds rather good, but I'd prefer my guy not be in the first couple of years to take the new one. Such is life. We'll see how/if med schools now change the pre-reqs. Many schools have been anticipating the changes. https://www.aamc.org/newsroom/newsreleases/273712/120216.html
Vida Winter
It was a long test to begin with and the length of the test is increasing to 6.5 hours.
creekland
It was a long test to begin with and the length of the test is increasing to 6.5 hours. True, but they are looking for candidates who will be at the top of their game through hours of potentially critical decisions or perhaps even surgery, so the length of the test doesn't bother me. If one doesn't have that long of an attention span, they might want to aim toward a different medical profession.
