Christmas-related literature from the Elizabethan period

Recommended Posts

Please suggest some Christmas-themed songs, stories, poems, plays, movies etc. that were written during (or about) the Elizabethan period. I also need some easy recipes for foods (preferably breads or baked goods) that were popular during this period. Thanks!

ETA: Maybe I should have said the Tudor period, since that's a bit broader than the Elizabethan period only.

The Elizabethan era is sort of hard to pin down. Between the flip-flopping national religion and possibly being beheaded for abiding by the wrong traditions, it was a tough time for Christmas. At various times certain traditions were outlawed for being too rowdy.

Some sites with decent information (some include poems, etc):

This is describing traditions over time, but has some of what you're looking for:

Thanks for the help! I had already found most of these, but there are a couple that I had not seen.
