SunshineMom Posted October 26, 2011 Share Posted October 26, 2011 We are using CW Aesop this year but I am finding it way too easy for my dd8. I have been reluctant to make adaptions for my dd10 (LDs) does well with it but my dd8 is bored. I really like the format of CW however. We are loosely finishing up MCT Grammar Island- I really need to purchase the next series. We have a spelling program so we don't use that portion of CW. I do however like the layout of the vocabulary section, and systematic rough and final draft format. I feel confident in the approach of CW however the passages are limited. I want to implement dictionary skills and the vocabulary is not enough. Can anyone suggest short passages my dd8 can read from that are similar but at a higher reading level?
