Denise in Florida
I have never made ham salad before but a friend brought some sandwiches by earlier this week and now I want more. :001_smile: I know I need a couple of cups of cooked ham. If I buy a packaged ham at the store will I need to heat it before I chop it up? or is it safe to fix the salad with ham straight out of the wrapper? I know they are 'pre-cooked' but does that mean ready to eat?
Tenaj
Yum! I always just use the precooked ham as it is from the store. I have an old grinder that my Mom had so we put it through that then mix with ground carrots and sweet relish with the mayo. Now I have a "hankerin" for some . . . luckily I have a ham sitting in my fridge this week.
