Rtcrmine
We currentlihave our own inside classroom, but I'd love for it to be larger. Has anyone here had any success with transforming their garage into a classroom? Thanks in advance. Wendy
Skadi
We don't have a garage, so that's not an option for us...but I've been eyeing pre-fab sheds (often used for studio spaces or workshops) as an option. I have no idea if these are in your budget, but I'll post them just in case. This 144 square foot workshop is $8,300. This 120 square foot gem is $9,000. This 144 square foot cabin is $11,000. Google turned up these beautiful photos of a woman who turned her garage into an art studio. This designer made a bold statement by painting the garage door black in this office space (scroll to Picture 13). I hope this helps inspire you! Let us know how it turns out! Wendy We looked into transforming our garage into a room in the last home we owned (it has been a while). We received an estimate of $10k to do it legally. A lot of it had to do with electrical, insulation and venting requirements of a living space versus a garage.
Rtcrmine
Our garage is pretty large, with windows that open. It's also insulated so that's a plus. Off to check out the links, thank you!
