Melissa in St Louis
We're hoping to memorize the VP timeline this year, and I'd love to utilize the song CD's they have for this. My question is: will it turn out to be one big song? Or are we going to learn one "chunk" of cards to the tune of Yankee Doodle and another "chunk" to the tune of Silent Night? Is it seamless? I know this is a bizarre question. :tongue_smilie: Thanks!
trishalinn
It's one big song. We used both VP's Bible and History curriculum last year and will be doing it again this year. The song is reallllly long, so we just listened to the first half of it for part of the year and then added the second half after my son knew the first half. happyhomemaker
Are you memorizing one time period with the cards or all the time periods at once? If it's one time period, the song is one long song. If you're talking about all of the periods together, the songs do not mesh together. At least they don't sound like they do to me. I only have the songs for Greece and Rome and the Middle Ages/Renaissance, but they really don't sound like they go together to me.
