Melinda
We have an old steamer trunk we have used as a coffee table since we got it around 10 years ago. It is wood, brass, and leather, and in great shape. Our house is pretty small (1080 SF above grade) and we need more space, so I planned to get rid of it, thinking that it would be easy to replace whenever we move to a larger house. I just looked online to see how to price it for sale, and now I am not sure what to do. Antique trunks in good shape like this are pretty expensive. The ones I saw that appear to be similar to this one are being sold for anywhere from $700 (in poor shape) to about $2000 by antique stores online. So here is my question... Would you sell it or store it in the basement (will be finished as our school room/storage/workshop in the next couple months) until there is a place for it? specialmama
My question to you is, do you love it? If you love it, keep it. If you don't, say goodbye. ;)

If you don't, take it to the closest antiques consignment or put it on eBay for local pickup.
