Tabrett
I have the small and large HWOT chalkboards. I love the small chalkboard and I think they are made of real slate. My large HWOT chalkboard came apart (part of the frame was coming off so I just remove the entire frame). Also, the paint on the large board is starting to fade. Is real slate the best? I want personal chalkboards that are about the size of the HOWT (10"x17"). I prefer they not have a frame. I also don't want any line since I would like to use them for drawing activities with colored chalks. I keep searching the web don't know what would be the best. I need them to be very durable since I use them almost everyday. And I need them to stand up under wet or dry chalk activities. Thanks!:bigear:

Guest Cindie2dds
This is the one we have. We really like it. You do have to prime it with white chalk to bring out the best of the colors, though. They sell it without the chalk as well, but you won't find chalk more beautiful or creamy. :)

I had never thought about doing that. It's not real slate, if that's what you wanting to know. I would love one, but those are pricey. ;)
