jtcarter14
Has anyone else found this to be true? We haven't gotten very far in these new books (Book 1), but just in 1B, we've run into lots of problems. I'd say that most (not all!) of them I could do on my own, but that doesn't mean I can explain to my kids why each sentence is correct or incorrect. It's more things I just know from having heard them in context over the years. The crazy thing is that I did these same wordly wise books when I was in elementary school, and I think I did well... Help!?!?!? Edited February 1, 2011 by jtcarter14
jtcarter14
Anyone? Or do any of you use the original Wordly Wise and do not have that problem? If so, tell me what we're doing wrong!
LNC
The B sections are super hard in all the original Wordly Wise books. Just keep plowing through - we think the extra challenge makes it a better choice than the updated version.
jtcarter14
Well, I have the answer key, of course, but how do you manage to explain *why* something is correct or incorrect? I found myself just saying it either does or doesn't sound right, and that wasn't helpful to my kids... :(
