For instance, in PLL, the child is occasionally asked to write something original, such as a guided story with a particular topic, or write a few sentences about himself, or use certain words and create a story from it. MyLittleBears Posted December 30, 2010 Share Posted December 30, 2010 The idea is that grammar stage students minds should not be required to write creatively until they are taught and become comfortable with the process of summerizing good liturature passages in their own words. This is done by you first reading them the passage writing down their summary for them and then they will eventually read it and write it for themselves. The philosophy behind it written in SWB's Writing with Ease, Fundamentals' book. The workbooks don't really explain it. Hope this help you.
