danybug Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 What a fabulous book! The book is written by Richard Stearns, the president of World Vision. The book starts with his own walk to faith and to his position at World Vision. In itself this part of his testimony is amazing. I wish I could hear God's call for me so abundantly clear. The rest of the book is just so eye opening to the plight of the World's poor that I know I myself have become so desensitized to. I think most of us would say we feel overwhelmed even thinking about it. The book does an outstanding job of trying to help wrap our minds around how most all of our fellow brothers and sisters are living. There are also so many fabulous quotes throughout the book by various people. Stearn's call really stirred me and had me questioning and praying.
