JABarney
Has anyone figured out how to get discovery streaming to work through a Playstation3 or Nintendo Wii? It would make more sense to me to watch on the big tv than through a computer screen. Any thoughts? Thanks! Julieann

ChrissySC
Perhaps you mean that you are wanting to send to the Wii from Netflix? http://fivejs.com/homeschool-better-with-netflix/ If that is the case, we have an account, and we ordered a disk. :) You need to have a cat5 connection from a router or wireless in the house in order to stream video. Let me know if you have any problems.
JABarney
Hi, No, I really mean Discovery Streaming. We can watch it on our computers, but I am wishing there were a hack or way around the media players in both PS3 and the Wii. IE Wii has Opera for a web browser and uses flash for its media player. Discovery streaming also uses Flash, but they do not work together. I would like to find a way to go through the PS3 or the Wii and stream from Discovery Streaming with my account. I can access Disc. Stream. through both the PS3 and Wii, but cannot get the media to play.....
2cents
I totally know what you are asking. I tried the same thing about a year ago and it didn't work. I was able to log into discovery streaming via the wii but the actual videos weren't supported at that time. They were supposed to have worked that out by now. I'll see if my kiddos can get anything up and post my result. We ended up connecting to our tv via wireless and remote keyboard. It is awesome to be able to watch discoverystreaming on the big screen. We run our online Spanish classes on the TV too since both girls take it. We watched the Plimoth Plantation webcast that way too. Ok...off to see what we can do with the wii. I'll post the results.
2cents
Ok...I just tried it again and it still won't play unitedstreaming via the wii. We can log on and all, just cannot play the videos. We tried everything we know. I will say that even if they did play, I'm wondering what the resolution would be like. Our cable wireless hookup gets really great reception.
