KarenC
What have you used for a secular geography course? We used Runkle's Geography a few years ago and I would like something more than just physical geography. Thanks, Karen
DebbS
We are doing human geography using an AP curriculum that I designed. Our primary texts are these: deBlij, H.J., Erin H. Fouberg and Alexander B. Murphy. Human Geography AP Study Guide: People, Place and Culture 9th Edition. John Wiley & Sons, 2009. Kuby, Michael, John Harner and Patricia Gober. Human Georgraphy in Action 5th Edition. John Wiley & Sons, 2009.
Teachin'Mine
We're using Glencoe World Geography - it includes a lot more than just physical geography. :)
KarenC
I'll look into these. I had forgotten about the AP study guides. Thanks, Karen
Nan in Mass
National Geographic has a nice list of objectives and projects to fulfill them. For those who have been following the creativity/project-based-learning thread, this might make a nice area in which to try projects. We have been using travel, a bit of reading, and the middle school history/geography books from France. Not exactly deep, but it was interesting to see what the textbook had to say about US cities GRIN. -Nan
