Would you use an outside record keeping company?

Just curious if anyone has used an outside record keeping company for highschool.

If so how did you like it?

Yes, I have used two different umbrella schools at two different times for my dc.

 

One was about $100/year at the time and the other one was about $85/year. Senior year is a little more expensive, as all records are gathered for final transcript.

 

Overall, not too terribly expensive, but I will tell you that the primary reason I used these schools was to provide help with writing up the final transcript. However, upon finding http://www.teascript.com, which will provide homeschoolers with professional looking transcripts for a very nominal fee (simply type in your own data), I have decided I no longer need the services of an umbrella school and will be saving close to $200 in the process.

 

Both of the schools I used allowed homeschool family to choose their own curriculum. One school required samples of student's work, and one did not.

 

I was not unhappy with the services of these umbrella schools, I just decided I didn't need to use them anymore.
