Julie in MO
Hi everyone and Happy 4th of July! We're heading into 9th grade this year and I feel happy and confident with our curriculum plans in all areas except vocabulary. We are using Vocabulary From Classical Roots (dd will do D and E this year). In the past two years, we've also gone through the Vocabulary Cartoons books. For those of you who are further along in the process, is VFCR sufficient? Should I add an SAT vocabulary prep book at this grade? Or some other resource? Thanks for your thoughts. Blessings, Julie
TXMary2
My graduate used Wordly Wise all four years and one year took a "SAT Vocabulary" class at a co-op. My upcoming 9th grader will continue to use Wordly Wise as well as Vocabulary Vine and Science Roots (same author as Vocabulary Vine).
