Quiver0f10
Does this include workbooks for the student? I couldn't tell from the web site. Would you recommend this for a 5.5 yo boy or go into the first grade book? Thanks! Edited January 29, 2010 by Quiver0f10

Would you recommend this for a 5.5 yo boy or go into the first grade book? Thanks! No workbooks - it's all oral. I started my "just turned 5 year old" on Saxon 1 and even that was basic for him. The only problem was that his fine motor skills were not as developed as his mental skills, so though he easily grasped the material, it took him a long time to do all the writing and drawing. nukeswife
The K level doesn't have workbooks, any sheets that you may need (there are not many)would be in the back of the TM as copy masters. I think or a 5.5 year old if their fine motor skills are ok then you could jump right into saxon 1. Did you give the placement test? The first part of the saxon placement test is all oral.
