Spy Car
I would not have the nerve to correct the pronunciation of a native speaker of a language I myself did not speak or only slightly, and I disagree that there is only one way to speak a language. Who said there was only one way to speak a language? That was the point. There are lots of variations, including many that are "non-standard", in the way people speak. You can drop an "R" sound in car, and still be speaking English, just as one can drop a "qaf" in Arabic, or change it's pronunciation to a sound other than the standard one. To recognize the standard pronunciation from one that is not standard is not a matter of "nerve" but simply a matter of listening and discerning the difference.
