mazakaal
I'm about to start using this with my 11yo. Does anyone have a schedule? I'd like to use it 4 days per week for about 30 minutes per day. Any idea how many weeks it may take us at that rate? Also, do you supplement it in any way? I was given Mastering the Periodic Table and am trying to fit some of those activities in. And I got The Mystery of the Periodic Table, but I'm not sure if I should read it alongside The Elements or read it when we finish McHenry's book. Any suggestions? love2read
When I did it with my just 12 yo, we just worked through the book and did most of the extra activities without a schedule. Thirty minutes a day/3 days a week we were done within a month, if not sooner. We read "Mystery of the Periodic Table' while doing History of Science, but it would be fine to fit in at any time. If I was doing it again, I would probably start both on the same day. I've used many different things for Chemistry for this age over the years and this was by far the best. I love her material. mazakaal
Wow. I thought it would take longer than that. It looks like a great program, though. I'm so looking forward to starting it tomorrow. Thanks.
