nukeswife
Hi all, I've been nourishing my Amish Friendship bread starter (I know many see it as a beast, but I keep it all for myself and don't put it onto unsuspecting friends :p), but I realized that today on day 10, baking day that I have no vanilla pudding mix and my kids are in no mood to go anywhere. I was wondering has anyone used prepared vanilla pudding instead of just the mix. I have some of those single serve pudding cups could I use those and just lower some of the liquid in the recipe? Thanks for taking time to check this out
mktkcb
If you google up Amish Friendship Bread you'll find recipes that don't call for the pudding. I have the starter myself, and was checking everything out a couple weeks ago, so I know that not all the recipes call for pudding. HTH. nukeswife
thanks, I like the pudding one so I may just wait and run to the store tomorrow. I guess I'll do a search though just in case. :)
Robin Hood
This is what I used.... 2/3 cup oil 3 eggs 2 cups flour 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp baking soa 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp saly Pour into 2 greased and sugared loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 40 - 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes then turn out. But I made a few changes because I didn't like the options given. I had no vanilla so I used lemon flavor and 1/3 c lemon juice, chopped pecan and blue berries. I can't give amounts because I made them up and then baked until the toothpick came out clean. Turned out yummy and we discovered how much we like lemon bread.
