HappyGrace Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009 I started ds6 with CLP Nature Reader 2, narrating about a paragraph-sized chunk at a time. He can do it just fine, but we're barely seven pages in and both of us want to kill Mr. Crab-enough with the crabs already! It really is perfect for narration, but we just can't take any more about crabs. Maybe we should start with fiction? Or another type of nonfiction book? I think he needs something that interests him more, but is still a nice structure for narration. What are your very favorites for a rising first grader (boy) just starting out with narration?
