Rosy Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 6 months ago we opted for the bigger house and moved from an 1100 sq. ft. (w/1 bathroom) home to a 2300 sq. ft. (w/2 finished bathrooms) home. We have a great yard and a great deck and lake access in our neighborhood. It feels like we're on vacation all the time! And that's with the dowstairs (600 sq. ft.) still unfinished and the kids sharing rooms. I would love to travel and would love for my kids to have that opportunity, but we just weren't comfortable in our last house. But they're still young and are perfectly happy to do camping trips. Given that option now, though, I'd rather do vacations than upgrade the house. Our house is modest, but it works for us and I think travel is so valuable.
