Leanna Tomlinson
You don't need a particular atlas, but any historical atlas would do. I used a Rand McNally American Historical Atlas for units 2 & 3. I have a big hardback historical atlas that covers most of history, but it is very large. The kids preferred the small one. Some moms in our co-op don't use an atlas at all. They have their kids look up the locations on the internet or use an electronic encyclopedia. Others just have their kids copy the teacher's answer maps, but I think they miss out on some of the learning. HTH, Leanna
