I am doing 100 easy lessons with my 3.5 year old- he is loving it. I was originally planning on doing the AAR pre-reading level this year (it will be his pre-K year) as a fun way to learn reading. He is very motivated and wants to learn, knows his letter sounds since about 18 months, is sounding out short words, etc.
Anyway, the cost was a bit of a turn-off for me with the pre-reading level, so for the time being I bought 100 easy lessons.
If we finished 100 easy lessons successfully, is the pre-AAR level necessary? Or would we pick up with level one? Or a different level?
Is 100 easy lessons a good start to a reading program? Has anyone had success with it? We are only on lesson 5, but he seems to really like it and he seems to be thriving off of the way it teaches- and I'm thriving off of the scripted part for me to read! :)
