Congratulations!!

I hope someone who has an experience will chime in and give you some insight soon...
In the mean time, can you email/call UC and ask what exactly they are looking for or explain your situation? I hope they just overlooked some of the boxes or something simple.

Maybe like this?
To find books for young children, some key words here...
Picture book : Ehon (えほん)
Japanese Old Folk Tale : Mukashibanashi (むかしばなし) *Commonly used as children's first reading books
For Kindergarten : Enji or Youchienji
For Elementary grade children : Jidou or Shougakusei
After 1st grade level, many Japanese children's books start using Kanji with kana.
Hope that helps...

Learning Japanese is hard...! I'm Japanese, born and grew up in Japan with a set of very traditional parents. I, of course, speak and write Japanese fluently, but I don't even know how to teach Japanese! I tried with my California native husband and failed. I also tried teaching to my two children and failed miserably. Now my son (15yo) is learning Spanish 3 and my daughter (12yo) is learning middle school Spanish and high school Latin 1 and they are excelling 🙄
To answer your questions about the proper interpretation of Kids Dictionary in Japanese, I agree with above poster, JAYY's. Zukan is more focused in one topic/area of things and Ejiten (E is for picture, Jiten for dictionary) has a picture and its word.

I see. It would bother me to have to deal with the tiny print as well.
As for the loan-words, it is very poplar to use them as everyday words, especially in clothing and food items. Things like Skirt, Pants, Jeans, Jacket, Sneaker (we don't add "s" though, LOL), Sandwich, Coffee, Juice, Lettuce for example. We just pronounce these English words with a heavy Japanese accent 🙂

How about this?
Although not all words have Kana, if you can write Kana from Romanji, they read the same.
For example: 耳 (mimi in Kanji) mimi (Romanji) ミミ (re-write mimi in Katakana) Ear (English)

(Classical converstaions is not A-g......I literally have no idea where the PP got that)
anyway...yes the teachers at several of our secular co-ops have submitted the course for A-G approval and received it, but only through the Charter school. Ours has Science, English and more.
I spotted Classical Conversations Inc. on the A-G approved list on the linked UC's website... It has a "closed as of 2017" note beside their name now, but I thought you might be referring them as a co-op group as it is a popular co-op option among charter families.
-
You have a-g co-op classes? I've never heard of that.
Classical Conversations?
I saw our vendor's name was on the list with "closed as of 2018" note, so I asked about it to our advisor at our charter school. Our advisor reassured me that our vendor is in process of getting the approval renewed and it will take some time (few months) to get everything settled.

I would eat it.

You can buy an adapter for the end of headphones to make them fit in the piano. I think I got my last one at Walmart.
Yes!
I got mine at Radio Shack a long time ago. I'd think store like Guitar Center, Best Buy, or local music shop should have one.

My DS, 14yo, gets pimples here and there regularly (2-3 pimples a week). Someone on this board here mentioned Stridex wipe and we tried. We are very pleased with the result.

Other than decorating the cake with it, how about:
Decorate cupcakes - easier to freeze than a whole cake?
Put on the cookies with crushed nuts
Decorate large marshmallows with colorful sprinkles or nuts
Use it for fruits dip
Pour hot water and drink it like a hot cocoa?

I think it's important for her to feel good in it, whatever she wears.

Yes, we put most bills on our Discover Card and pay in full at the end of the month. I wish we can put our car loan and a mortgage, too (I asked our banks years ago, but they said no)!
We've been very happy with the Discover Card :)

13 yo in 8th grade, about 5 hours/day.
When my DS needed to write a research paper or essay, he spent some additional time to work on.
-
My 14 yo DS goes to bed around 9:30pm most nights and sleeps until 6:45am. He did the same routine last year at 13 yo.

I use a stainless zester/grader for mincing garlic and/or ginger.

For a roast beef/pork/turkey in the oven, yes, I'd use my digital meat thermometer that beeps when it reaches the certain temperature.
But for a pan frying, no, I just know when it's done by its look.

I'm so excited for you!
I love my dishwasher and Finish Max in One Plus tabs from Costco :)
