  1. Thanks for the recommendation! What grade/ages correspond to the levels? Does this include diagramming? Elizabeth
  2. Hello, I'm finishing up FLL4 with my 10 yo dd currently in 4th grade. I have enjoyed the style and pace of this curriculum and am looking for my next Grammar program. I am intrigued with a few suggestions I have received. I'm looking for pros and cons re: Treasured Conversations Saxon Grammar Analytical Grammar Also, with Analytical Grammar if we have had the FLL lessons up to now will the Junior level be too easy? I don't want dd to be bored! Was thinking that I could just do TC for the time being and then move on to one of the other programs. Has anyone done that? I didn't realize how spoiled I was having something dd and I liked so much! Thanks for your help! Elizabeth :001_smile:
  3. Thanks for the recommendation! Is that the Junior version(orange cover)? Does it include diagramming? I have been very pleased that FLL has included that but at an elementary level. Has anyone used the Saxon Grammar and Writing curriculum? What are your thoughts on that? Does the combination of writing and Grammar work well? Thank you!
  4. Hello, We are finishing up First Language Lessons for the Well Trained Mind Level 4 and have really liked the style and pace. I would like some suggestions for Grammar curriculum after we finish. What have you used that you like? Thanks! Elizabeth
  5. Thanks for all the input everyone! I think it is definitely time to re-evaluate how I implement this part of the curriculum. I sometimes have trouble letting go of something that isn't working and I really need to be able to recognize that if that is the case I need to move on. So, yes, it probably is me :001_smile: Anyhow, I will back off because we are both tired of the frustration that goes with the dictation. I will also check out the video for pointers. Thanks again! Elizabeth
  6. Hi, I'm new to the forums here but hope someone has some advice. I have been using Writing with Ease with my 10 y/o daughter who is now at Level 4. We have never had problems until the last few weeks. The dictation selections have been getting longer and a little more complicated. DD now just seems to quit because she's made up her mind she can't do it. She just shuts down. I end up having to read her the selection more than the recommended amount of times and prompt her too often. Level 3 was fine. I really like the selections and the way the book works but the dictation has become a very frustrating excercise for both of us! :( The selections only get harder from here. Any suggestions? Thanks! Elizabeth
