  1. I will look into treasured conversations also. Right now he's doing this book written for Filipino high school students learning English. It has grammar but is heavy on writing, in a good way. I just wonder if it's enough "grammer"
  2. I have the old orange LLTL. Maybe I will get it out and use it for him.
  3. Thanks I will check in to both. Hoping to figure out how to do the bst in phone, this tapas thing is weird
  4. We like the mystery of history audio cds in car expecially on long trips. What about Biblioplan, Heritage Studies, or just read a lot almost like a unit study
  5. I really like FLL. My 9 yo, 4th grader, is doing this program and is doing very well. My 8 yo, 3rd grader, could easily do this program and picks most of it up as background noise. However, due to his extreme competitive nature and her extreme lack there of, I CAN NOT, use the same curriculums for them. For example the math programs: she is in MUS Gamma, he is in Singapore 3A. Even though he is "ahead" of her, he doesn't realize it and thus leaves her alone and she keeps happily working. She is doing WWE 2, which is right on target for her, he could do WWE 3, but then he would be measurably ahead and would bug her about that, so I'm trying something else for writing. So basically I'm looking for advice for a classical, hopefully inexpensive, curriculum that is around the same level of learning as FLL 3, but not FLL. I'm drawn to MCT, but it's a little pricey and seems to have mixed reviews. Start throwing peanuts at this elephant :)
  6. Here's my view point on fashion.....cover up the important stuff and move on. I despise dressing up, I'm the same person in a tie dye shirt and jeans as a business suit in heels, except I'm more productive and much nicer in the jean ensemble. Plus, I'm more productive in jeans and a tshirt.
