They can be interchangeable at times, but I usually use it based on which side of the situation I'm on. If I'm going to an event, I TAKE a dessert, but if I'm hosting an event I ask someone to BRING a dessert.

In our closet, either in a box/tote or covered with a blanket. The kids know not to exploring in there after Halloween.

Our family is enjoying Timeless, too!

It sounds like the Latin book our school (in Maine) used, too. I also think it's Ecce Romani. "In pictura est puella romana, nomine Claudia." Why do I have brain cells dedicated to remembering this??

Then he owes you 4:20 in labor. Argument in equally stressful, pointless and time-wasting as the drive was. It counts too.
Maybe also try, "So, what are you going to do about that?" whenever he presents you with a problem he caused.
I agree with this 100%!

In YOUR case, if I had to walk past him, I would wear headphones, carry pepper spray and ignore the son of a b!tch. And his noisy dog too :p.
I would wear headphones, but DON'T HAVE MUSIC ON! If he's just trying to get a reaction from you, thinking you can't hear him might be enough to make him be quiet. Your ears, however, are one of your best lines of defense if the dog were to get out. You want all of your senses in play when you put yourself in an uncomfortable or hostile situation.

We just take our glasses off and leave them in the car.

Tomatillas are good in salsa, too.

My husband and I agreed early on in our marriage to discuss purchases over $100 that were above and beyond budgeted or expected items. It helps us stay within budget, and it also serves as a "cooling off" period so we don't get sucked into impulse purchases.

My son is a big breakfast eater, too. We got him a breakfast sandwich maker for Christmas and he loves it! And the best part is he can do it by himself - all I have to do is make sure I have the ingredients on hand (english muffins, eggs, cheese, some sort of meat).

I thought all white kids were born with blue eyes, well except the ones with turquoise eyes. Is that a myth?
My African American son son was born with dark blue eyes, pale skin, and straight (albeit not blonde hair). Now he's got deep brown eyes, skin the color of milk chocolate, and kinky dark brown to the point it looks black hair.
Definitely a myth! My husband and I are both white, and my daughter's eyes were black when she was born. As in, I couldn't differentiate her pupil from her iris, they were so dark. They lightened up a little bit, but they're still a very dark brown.

Agreed.

You could do a baked potato bar. Potatoes are inexpensive and filling, and the toppings don't require a lot of prep work. You could have hot dog-style chili as one topping for meat (advantage - it doesn't take too much meat per potato), then have cheese, butter, and sour cream to round things out. If you have any vegetarians, they can easily skip the meat.

When my son was almost 3, I knew he was ready to be potty trained. So, I told him that when kids turned three, they stopped using diapers and we went and bought underwear as part of his birthday preparation. He totally believed me, and the day before his third birthday was his last daytime diaper.

My kids are 12 and 14 and make their own breakfast. They have been making breakfast since they were 8 or 9, with help from me as needed. Mostly simple breakfasts like cereal, toast or oatmeal, but my youngest has gotten very good at all sorts of eggs - omelets, sunny side up, poached, scrambled - since those are his favorites.

I take Tae Kwon Do, and my daughter did for years until very recently. You can PM me.

I am a Methodist, and we have both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services. Those would definitely take priority over a social outing.

Our county 4-H has an annual sewing contest. You could check with a local 4-H group and see if that's an option in your area.

And the word "himself" is a reflexive pronoun, I believe.

I will second Castle Panic as a great cooperative game. Another one is Forbidden Island - it's been a huge hit with both my kids!

My kids want to get one and name it Jarvis, so they can pretend they are Iron Man.

With a water bath canner, you can process high acid foods. Things like pickles, salsa, fruit, jams/jellies, and some tomato-based recipes work well when processed in hot water.. To process most vegetables, beans, and meats, you need to use a pressure canner.

You could use Christmas cards as the base for homemade bookmarks. It's a great way to use up any leftover cards from Christmases past!
