  1. The Five People You Meet in Heaven

Anything by Charles Martin especially the Maggie books

    Of Mice and Men

    The Outsiders

I don't really care for Sci fi but love historical fiction. The ones I listed were just ones that hadn't been mentioned. My hubby and dd loved the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. Hubby is reading the Space trilogy by C.S. Lewis now and says it's good!

  2. The Pre-Alg text is written by a different author than the Alg. 1 & 2 so that might make a big difference. I have the Alg. 1 & 2 sets for sale if you are interested. They are the custom CD version with the COMPLETE solutions guide vhs for both in CD packaging and new dvds for both through Houghton Mifflin....same as the vhs just bought through the publisher.....exactly the same. Please pm me if you are interested.

    Thank you and Blessings,

    Jennifer

  3. Morphine can cause this, especially if there is a panicky aspect to his confusion. You may want to ask for a switch in pain medication. My dad had to be put in restraints until the morphine wore off... very upsetting to us all.

My grandfather could not have morphine! He even walked out of the hospital when he had staph because the morphine made him so crazy! When I got off the elevator to go see him I could hear him at the other end of the hall screaming "The b**** is going to shoot me!" Needless to say he was thinking about the female security guard who had put him on the ground in cuffs because she did not realize what was going on! Pain meds can make you do all kinds of crazy things! Hope he gets better, it is so hard to see a loved one like that!

  4. I think they flow fine! I like Ruth, well Ruthie better, but it's not my baby! I love the name Esther! I had a dear friend named Esther who went to be with our Lord two yrs ago after a brave and hard fight with breast cancer. She was a wonderful, godly, homeschooling mother. I wish I could be just half the woman she was! Wonderful names and I'm sure this child will be blessed no matter what you decide to name her!

  5. There are plenty of places to sell used curriculum. The sale boards here are simply a curtesy for members of the board. Don't look at it as a for sale board where you have to have 50 posts, but rather, a hs message board that happens to also have a for Sale board for members to utilize.

Frankly, most of us have learned to be skeptical of people who are only here to sell stuff. Nothing against you personally, it's just that we have been around the block a time or two with trolls and scammers. With a really low post count some people won't buy from you anyway.

I, otoh, am here way.to.much(it takes years of dedication to become a professor) and I have no idea how I am going to keep my count below lovedtodeath since she is leaving us!

OVER 10,000 posts...........I bow to you Professor! :D

  6. Bethany,

My hubby had a dry socket and although it was painful before he called the dentist and went back it was not so bad after. The dentist told us to go to the pharmacy and get oil of clove and soak a tiny piece of cotton ball with it and pack the hole...........he said it tasted awful when he got it on his tongue but worked miracles. It was all better in about 3 days! Call your dentist, your fix might be something very simple and hopefully painfree.....saying prayers for you!

    Blessings,

    Jennifer

  7. We pay the electric bill for our library........just wrote a check for fines totaling $104. I forgot we had books out! At least it is going to a good cause! My New Years resolution for 2009 was to keep my account current and have no late fees...........lasted about 4 months! When I told our librarian my resolution she laughed...........if that tells you anything!

  8. We found Treasure Island difficult to read and follow, taking away alot of the fun! Mine enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia and Poppy by Avi. Also, for fun the Ramona books! We are reading an abridged version of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Keep us updated on what you choose!

    Blessings,

    Jennifer

  9. My dd did not do well with the Dive cd but improved greatly when I used the Teaching Tape Technology videos. They work out all the practice problems and explain things thoroughly. Google and check out samples. If you are interested I have the DVDs for sale for $100ppd. These are new due to me swapping the company my vhs for them! My email is jen_pad at bellsouth.net. This really helped my non mathy child.

    Blessings,
