Oh, you are so kind. I'm blushing now...lol. It is definitely something I've put some study and thought into over the years, because it's important to me. More sporadically than I probably should. But I think each person brings a unique perspective, and I have learned a great deal from people who came into the church later in life than I.

The edition I used in scheduling the reading was copyrighted 2005, but I also included the chapter titles in addition to page numbers so that people with different editions could use the chapter title to find the right page numbers. I don't think it would be hard at all to swap out editions. One person even told me she was using the smaller Science Explorer books from the series, rather than the Physical Science textbook, and that was working out for her too. (She did mention that the books include a small number of chapters that were not included in the compilation.)

Julie, I'm glad you found my comments useful. :) One of the reasons I like (polite!!) discussions with people of other faiths is that I so often find an interesting perspective I had not considered before. I may or may not AGREE with the new perspective, but I find that knowing about it and thinking it over very often leads me to new understandings of things I otherwise might never have been led to. And it also helps me understand where others are coming from better, which is helpful in avoiding giving or taking offense in future interactions. I don't know why the thread was locked either, and my guess would be that whatever caused it to be locked was also deleted by the moderators so we'll never know. Regardless, thank you for your contribution to that thread, and I would be happy to respond to any other questions about our beliefs or practices that you may have, either privately or on the forum. :grouphug:
