  1. a few weeks ago i posted about my 10 year old son, who is an amazing homeschool student but still wakes up in a wet goodnite every morning. Recently he slept over at a friends, got found out, and somehow all the kids in our church know now. I feel terrible for him- he is getting some teasing, he has been teased for other things before but never for this. The wetting is not under his control; how can I make him feel better about it?
  2. After reading responses and talking to my son, I have decided to try and just wait out the problem a little longer. because of his sleep issues we can't do an alarm and I am not willing to risk medication if their is even a slight possibility of side effect. He also is less distressed about it than I thought- he says he doesn't mind having diapers as long as his friends don't know.
  3. Pamela has your son worn anything recently for wetting? Because I was thinking what my son would do if he gets to that age and still wets. Glad your son is becoming dry
  4. We don't do that in our house. We believe that when our boys(ages 12 and 10) are exposed to technology, it reduces focus on the positives in their lives, such as schoolwork, friends, family, and God. My generation grew up without Ipods and cellphones and my siblings and I turned out fine.
  5. Right now DH and I are very frustrated with our sons wetting. He is 10 and every morning he has a wet goodnite-he has never worn regular underwear to bed. I wonder sometimes how many other kids are in the same boat- seems like most his age stopped long ago. Does anyone think medication is a good option? His doctor is against it- but then again he is also against homeschooling.
  6. Jake, my 10 year old, wanted to go back last year, and after 3 days in public school he was back home. All kids do better with homeschooling as opposed to public.
